An Author's Memories

For all intensive purposes, this is the "About the Author" page...

My name is Liana's Shadow, and I will oblige to tell you that I am seventeen years of age. I have been writing stories for as long as I can remember, and if I can dig up my first few stories- which include: The Mystery Kids: Curse of the Black Knight, "The Kitten Who Wanted a Friend", and my first semi-long short story Deadly Roses- which date back from 3rd grade and up. I have just graduated from high school and am looking forward to embarking on the new chapters in my life- namely: College. This blog will basically focus on who I am trying to become because, much as the main character of the story on this blog, I am just trying to figure out who I am... Unlike the main character, I have not lost my memory, but this is an ongoing struggle I find myself undergoing on a day-to-day basis.

Aside from the world of storytelling, I indulge in my other passion of singing. I am an avid singer, and working on becoming a proper songwriter. I have spent the last year learning how to play guitar- something I have been struggling with since my 3rd grade year. Singing, however, didn't quite become a passion of mine until my 4th grade year when my mother finally convinced me to enter into the Talent Show because, unbeknown to myself, she had been listening to me singing in the backseat of our suburban singing quietly in an attempt to remain unheard. Look how well that worked, though!

Not only have I enjoyed telling stories through my writing and my singing, though, but I have spent moments in which poetry has captivated me. I mainly enjoy haikus, but every now and again I will write free verse poetry. It won't surprise me if my story here decides to include a poem or two, and I might attempt to create a Sims music video utilizing songs that might properly serve as an interlude between chapters when written words cannot fully convey the mood of my Sims as they fall in love, kill each other, search for hidden secrets and so on so forth.

Anyway, those are just some aspects of my life, and I will most definitely attempt to dig up my old stories and poetry and post them here perhaps as a reference as to how far I have come in the world of writing. I will, of course, make sure to post the school year in which I wrote whatever gets posted here so that you won't misinterpret it as writing that I have done recently.
